Up with the lark.......

So, I was up with the lark this morning, poor Alfie didn't even get out of his bed to greet me, he lifted his little, chocolate, furry head & looked up at me, as if to say, 'are you mad, just look at the time...! '
My mission today, (should I choose to accept it...!) was to go to our local car boot sale, to see what goodies there were...
As always, you do have to poke about a bit to find things, I find the best bits, are stuffed in crumbled old cardboard boxes, or nestled between old clothing or a dusty old lamp shade etc...
Annnyway... I was home drinking a mug of tea by 9am... with Alfie curled up between my feet... O happy days..

So here are some of the things I bought, & the best bit of course, is that they'll all most certainly be made into something else to enjoy, & I didn't even spend a fiver... talk about a credit crunch day out...!!

Trouble is... I know I've seen these images before...

Or is it just another trend..?

Or is it because I feel so passionate about hand made, creative people.....

It just seems to me, that in the world of ALL things handmade, craft, paper, needlework etc... artists come up with lovely vintage images, & new & wonderfully creative ideas, & then, it seems that a large company gets hold of these ideas, & snatches them away... making the extraordinary very ordinary....?

So.... a friend & I decided a while ago it would be a really good idea... to have a handmade... vintage.. bits n bobs.. craft fair thingy... (Yer I know... we're still working on the title...!)
with a group of us girlies that make handmade goodies, & like all things vintage...

Annnnyway... this fair thingy seemed like a really good idea at the time...
You know how it is, been inspired, like making things, seen something in a magazine..... bla bla bla... (sound familiar?)

Am now frantically getting pieces together... &, being a Scorpio is not always a good thing, we are perfectionists... absolute piggin nitemare... !!!

Everything has to have a theme, rusty wire baskets for items to go in, brown luggage labels for pricing, cake stands for displaying things on... Oooo... it goes on & on...

Everything is washed & packed & ready to go on our holiday today, even Alfie's bunny had a quick spin the washing machine this morning.....
