Time to send thanks

Hello people... gosh I've been so busy, too busy in fact, to keep, up to date with my blog... there's a reason, & all shall be revealed shortly.....
In the mean time, I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas....
I'm now, in the process of writing many thank yous for all the lovely gifts I've received over these past few days,... it's also a good excuse to do some craft in font of the toasty open fire... Warm minced pie anyone.....?

James at the church Christmas fare...

Whilst I've spent most of my evenings, & a few Sunday afternoons, crafting away.. everything is now packed, priced & hung, all ready for the church Christmas fare, this Saturday, trouble is.....
Being a hairdresser, & a very busy one at that, especially this time of year..
James (that's my hubby), seems to get the job of carting, setting up, & standing selling, all my bits a bobs... to tell you the truth all the ladies love him....!!
Think there's homemade sausage rolls, & mince pies passed around too, which does help.... I'm a lucky girl...
(these pictures where taken in the salon window, the giant cones were gathered by my kind mother & father-in-law , & I've scented them in an oil called 'grandmothers kitchen'... which is a mixture of baked apples & Cinnamon it does fill the salon with Christmas........)

Days getting shorter..........

Has any one put their tree up yet..?

Church candles

Getting in the festive spirit, well trying to put a positive spin on it (the news is so depressive...) ... I know this will be a very difficult Christmas, for many, & I don't believe it has to cost the earth to decorate the home, I've cut rosemary out of the garden, & made small wreaths, & recycled some of my candles, where I've photocopied an image & pasted it around the candle with jute I found in the kitchen drawer...

Handmade Note-lets

For all those thank you's after Christmas.....

Friday, 21 November 2008

So here's the thing

So.... most of the bits & pieces for the Christmas craft fare are done... just bits & bobs to finish off now, phew..
The utility room looks like, a small whirl wind has spun about a bit, & plonked paper, pins, fabric, pencils, lace, rose hips, stuffing, &... oh well.. you get the picture...
Work is now hectic, & have got the usual very sore hands, which are currently heavily greased up, & shoved into white cotton gloves, 'nice' but not in a good way...! &, am presently typing in them... feel like a magician about to perform a trick... (pick a card any card...!!)
Remind me again why I started doing this craft lark again....?

Sunday a floppy day.....

Had one of those floppy days, today as we call it in our house... so have been drinking tea, reading the Sundays, & little much else really, just lovely...
So why do I feel so guilty....?
