I happen to stumble upon this lovely shop, as I weave my PC around the many vast shops, blogs & websites out there....

It is an eclectic mixture of all things sweet, vintage, & of childhood memories.....

I fondly remember my walks home from school, & could not help myself, just walk past, a favourite sweet shop of mine....... called 'Jenny's.'

The type of sweet shop that, took the man & lady who ran the shop, twenty minutes, to prop up steps, to reach the jar on the shelf,.... that had to be weighed, then there was, another struggle to put the steps back, & for the jar to placed upon the shelf from where it came... !!!

The best bit...?

when they twiddled the paper bag around their hands,

(to look as if the bag hand two tiny ears...!!!)

before handing the delightful goodies over to you...

Mouth filled out like a chipmunk full of sugary delights....

Just Pottering........

James & I have had this week off...
& what a week! the weather has been fantastic......

Not done a lot really, well, a bit of crafting....
mainly pottering about......
However, we did stop off for a cream tea at Long Melford,
great place to visit.............

FUN at the Fair........ & there was cake...!!

Well the day finally arrived...
a group of us girls got together last Saturday, to show our
handmade & vintage items we'd made & collected......

Nope not even a cloudy day could
spoil it for us.......

Everyone had worked so hard.........

But, it's thanks to Jaini, for letting
us take over her home, garden, & gazebo
for the entire day...

It was great to see everyone's work, which was different
but had a similar theme...

A big thanks goes to those friends, family,
& others that came & supported us on the day...........

Oh yes... & did I mention.... that there was cake?
Jaini's cake was so good.., that there are no pictures...

What a lovely treat I had yesterday afternoon, a local garden designer has an open day in her home twice a year, displaying many delightful things for the home, & garden, including many handmade objects, here is a link to her website which include some of these lovely goodies...........................

Updating my shop

I've been so busy with life, craft etc... that I have neglected my little shop I've posted some new bits on folksy, just click on the folksy logo on the side bar & it'll take you there....

Is it me....?

So... here's the thing...

I've been busy making things for my friends fair, collecting things, painting things, pasting things, sewing things.... etc, etc,

Now things are almost done, I'm feeling a bit odd....
Is it me..? or does everyone get a case of the, well.... 'collie wobbles' at this moment...?

The stuff that's going round my head are:
Is there enough things to make a good enough display?
Will anyone like/buy my things?
Why did I agree to do this........!?
Does it all look too 'homemade' rather then handmade...?

Any comments fellow bloggers, would be greatly appreciated.....
